# Peak-Performance Morning Routine Checklist

> The exact pre-9am sequence: body, orientation, vocal priming, visualization, that gets top performers to their first call already regulated and in state.

## How to use it

Run the full sequence for two weeks before judging it: the compounding effect (regulated start, primed voice, chosen baseline) shows up in week two, not day one.

## What's inside

- 4 time-blocked phases from wake-up to first call
- The "no phone for 20 minutes" rule and why it's sequenced first
- The vocal warm-up and posture check to run before going live
- The 30-second visualization step immediately before the first call
- The top-3-accounts, one-line-each review format
- The 3-item "protect these no matter what" fallback list for chaotic mornings

### The pre-9am sequence that gets you to your first call already in state

The goal isn't productivity theater: it's arriving at your first call regulated, focused, and already warmed up, instead of using your first prospect as your warm-up. Adjust the exact times to your own schedule; keep the sequence and the *order* of categories.

## Wake to 30 minutes before first call: Body before screen
- [ ] Don't touch your phone for the first 20 minutes awake. Checking Slack/email/CRM the moment you wake up puts you in reactive mode before you've chosen anything on your own terms.
- [ ] Move your body for at least 5–10 minutes: a walk, stretching, or a real workout if your schedule allows. This isn't about fitness, it's about shifting your physiological state before the day starts asking things of you.
- [ ] Hydrate before caffeine, a full glass of water before the first coffee.

## 30 to 15 minutes before first call: Orient
- [ ] Look at today's calendar for 2 minutes: not to plan the whole day, just to know what's coming and remove any surprise.
- [ ] Review your top 3 accounts/calls for today: one line each: who they are, what you need from this call, what "good" looks like when it ends.
- [ ] Write down (or say out loud) one thing you're proud of from yesterday, even a small one. This isn't optional fluff; it sets your starting emotional baseline before the day can set it for you.

## 15 to 5 minutes before first call: Prime the instrument
- [ ] Vocal warm-up, literally hum or read a paragraph out loud. Your voice is your instrument on calls; most reps never warm it up and it shows in the first five minutes of every call.
- [ ] Posture check, stand or sit the way you want to sound. Slouched bodies produce flat voices.
- [ ] Say your opening line for the first call out loud, once, before you're live. Don't wing the first 10 seconds of your day.

## 5 minutes before: Visualize and enter
- [ ] Close your eyes for 30 seconds and picture the call going well: not perfectly, just *well*. This primes your nervous system toward approach instead of avoidance.
- [ ] One clean exhale, then go live.

## What to protect no matter how the morning goes sideways
If the whole routine falls apart because the day starts chaotic, protect these three in order of priority:
- [ ] No phone in the first 20 minutes (this one matters most)
- [ ] 2 minutes reviewing your top calls for today
- [ ] One out-loud rehearsal of your first opening line

*Everything else is enhancement. These three are the floor.*
