# Objection-to-Close Conversion Rate Calculator

> Models how a 10-point (or any target) lift in your team's Objection Resolution Rate moves overall win rate and quarterly revenue, with your own historical correlation factor or a labeled default assumption.

Free calculator/tool for sales leaders. Topic: [Objection Handling](https://www.peerlab.ai/library/topic/objection-handling/). ## How to use it

Calculate your own correlation factor (k) from the last 4 quarters of rep-level ORR vs. win-rate data, or use the labeled default, then plug in your qualified pipeline volume and average deal value to get the quarterly revenue impact of a target ORR lift.

## What's inside

- Objection Resolution Rate (ORR) definition and measurement method
- Correlation factor (k), formula for deriving it from your own historical data
- 5-step formula chain from ORR lift to additional quarterly revenue
- Fully worked 10-point-lift example ($220,000/quarter)
- Conservative / Base / Aggressive scenario table
- Instructions for replacing the default k with your own regression

Models the org-wide relationship between how well your team resolves objections and how many deals it wins.

## Step 1: Define & Measure ORR

**Objection Resolution Rate (ORR)** = % of sales conversations in which a raised objection is successfully resolved (prospect advances to the next stage within a defined window, e.g. 5 business days).

**How to measure it:** tag every call/deal where an objection occurs. Mark `resolved = 1` if the deal advances to the next stage within the window, else `0`. `ORR = resolved ÷ total objections observed`, aggregated quarterly.

## Step 2: Derive Your Correlation Factor (k)

**k** = how many win-rate points move for every 1 point of ORR change, based on YOUR own historical data.

**How to calculate it:** take the last 4 quarters, compare cohorts of reps/months with higher vs. lower ORR:
```
k = (Win Rate at high-ORR cohort − Win Rate at low-ORR cohort) ÷ (ORR difference between cohorts)
```
No historical data yet? Use a labeled default of **k = 0.4** and replace it once you have a quarter of tagged data.

## Step 3: The Formula Chain

```
1. ΔORR = Target ORR − Current ORR
2. ΔWR = ΔORR × k
3. New Win Rate = Baseline Win Rate + ΔWR
4. Additional Deals Won = Qualified Opportunities × (ΔWR ÷ 100)
5. Additional Revenue = Additional Deals Won × Average Deal Value
```

## Worked Example: 10-Point ORR Lift

- Current ORR = 52%, Target ORR = 62% → ΔORR = 10 points
- k = 0.4 (default) → ΔWR = 10 × 0.4 = 4 points
- Baseline Win Rate = 24% → New Win Rate = 28%
- Qualified opportunities this quarter = 250
- Additional Deals Won = 250 × 0.04 = 10 deals
- Average deal value = $22,000
- **Additional Quarterly Revenue = 10 × $22,000 = $220,000**

## Scenario Table (same base numbers, different k)

| Scenario | k | ΔWR (10pt ORR lift) | New Win Rate | Additional Deals | Additional Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Conservative | 0.2 | 2 pts | 26% | 5 | $110,000 |
| Base | 0.4 | 4 pts | 28% | 10 | $220,000 |
| Aggressive | 0.6 | 6 pts | 30% | 15 | $330,000 |
