# Objection Rebuttal ROI Calculator

> A worksheet-based calculator estimating the pipeline value your team recovers by improving its resolution rate on its top 3 named objections, with a fully worked numeric example.

Free calculator/tool for sales managers. Topic: [Objection Handling](https://www.peerlab.ai/library/topic/objection-handling/). ## How to use it

Pull your top 3 objection-attributable loss reasons from CRM tags, plug the four inputs into each worksheet row, and the Recovered Revenue column shows the quarterly pipeline value at stake if your team hits the target resolution-rate improvement.

## What's inside

- 4-input formula: deals affected, average deal value, current loss rate, target loss rate
- Deals Saved and Recovered Revenue formulas
- Fill-in worksheet table for your top 3 objections
- Fully worked numeric example ($144,000/quarter recovered on one objection)
- Conservative / moderate / aggressive sensitivity scenarios
- Guidance on where to source the loss-rate data (CRM tags, deal autopsies, win/loss interviews)

Estimates the pipeline value recovered by improving your team's resolution rate on its top 3 objections. Do this per-objection, then sum.

## The Formula

**Inputs (per objection):**
- **N** = opportunities per quarter that encounter this objection
- **V** = average deal value
- **L_current** = current % of those N deals lost primarily because this objection went unresolved
- **L_target** = target loss rate after improving resolution skill (from training, new rebuttals, certification)

**Calculations:**
```
Deals Saved = N × (L_current − L_target)
Recovered Revenue = Deals Saved × V
```

## Worked Example

**Objection: "Too expensive / no budget"**
- N = 40 deals/quarter hit this objection
- V = $18,000 average deal value
- L_current = 45% lost specifically due to this objection unresolved (18 deals)
- L_target = 25% after training (10 deals)

```
Deals Saved = 40 × (0.45 − 0.25) = 8 deals
Recovered Revenue = 8 × $18,000 = $144,000 / quarter
```

## Worksheet: Fill In Your Top 3 Objections

| Objection | N (deals/qtr) | V (avg deal value) | L_current | L_target | Deals Saved | Recovered Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| #1 | | | | | | |
| #2 | | | | | | |
| #3 | | | | | | |
| **Total** | | | | | | |

## Sensitivity Scenarios

Using the example above (N=40, V=$18,000, L_current=45%):

| Scenario | Loss-rate improvement | L_target | Deals Saved | Recovered Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Conservative | 5 points | 40% | 2 | $36,000 |
| Moderate | 10 points | 35% | 4 | $72,000 |
| Aggressive | 20 points | 25% | 8 | $144,000 |

## Where to Source L_current

- CRM structured loss-reason field (tagged, not free text)
- The *Late-Stage Deal Objection Autopsy Checklist*, run on a sample of lost deals to isolate the true objection
- Win/loss interviews with lost prospects

**Note:** this model calculates recovered pipeline from three named objections at the deal-level. For an org-wide win-rate and revenue model tied to a blanket resolution-rate lift, use the *Objection-to-Close Conversion Rate Calculator*.
