# Multi-Channel Outbound Cadence Framework

> A day-by-day 14-day cadence blending email, LinkedIn, and phone across 8 touches, so no single channel has to carry the whole sequence: with rules for sequencing, timing, and adapting it to your own sales cycle.

## How to use it

Load the day/channel/action table directly into your sequencing tool as a template, then swap in the adaptation guidance for your specific deal size and sales cycle length before applying it to a new list.

## What's inside

- Full day-by-day 14-day cadence table (channel + action per day)
- Rule: never repeat the same channel twice in a row
- Rule: vary call attempt times across the day
- Rule: every email touch must add something new
- Rule: substitute LinkedIn engagement touches when there's nothing to engage with
- Rule: stop the cadence immediately on any reply
- The sequencing logic behind the 3 phases of the cadence
- Adaptation guidance for enterprise, transactional, and no-phone-number scenarios

A day-by-day 14-day cadence blending email, LinkedIn, and phone so no single channel carries the whole sequence. Built around 8 total touches across 3 channels.

## The framework at a glance

| Day | Channel | Action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Email | Touch 1: personalized opener (research-based, no ask beyond a question) |
| 1 | LinkedIn | Send connection request (no pitch in the note) |
| 3 | Call | Touch 2: first call attempt, leave a short voicemail if no answer |
| 4 | Email | Touch 3: value-add follow-up (share a relevant insight, resource, or data point) |
| 6 | LinkedIn | If connected: short, no-ask message referencing touch 1's insight |
| 7 | Call | Touch 4: second call attempt, different time of day than touch 2 |
| 8 | Email | Touch 5: social proof touch (a relevant case study or peer result) |
| 10 | LinkedIn | Engage with a recent post of theirs (comment, don't just like) |
| 11 | Call | Touch 6: third call attempt |
| 12 | Email | Touch 7: direct, short ask ("worth 15 minutes this week or next?") |
| 14 | Email | Touch 8, breakup email (see Sales Breakup Email Swipe File) |

## Rules that make the blend actually work
- **Never repeat the same channel twice in a row.** The point of multi-channel is that a prospect who ignores email might notice LinkedIn, and a prospect who ignores both might pick up a call.
- **Vary call times across attempts.** Try one morning (8-9:30am), one midday (11:30am-1pm), one end-of-day (4-5:30pm) attempt across the 3 call touches. Different windows catch different calendars.
- **Every email touch must add something new**: a new insight, a new proof point, a new angle. An email that just re-sends the same pitch reads as a bump, not a touch, and trains the prospect to ignore the thread.
- **LinkedIn engagement touches (Day 6, Day 10) don't count if there's nothing to engage with.** If the prospect hasn't posted anything recently, replace that touch with an additional call attempt or a short direct message instead.
- **Stop the cadence immediately on any reply**, even a "not interested": a real response ends the automated sequence and moves the prospect to a manual, personalized track.

## Sequencing logic (why this order)
- **Touches 1-3 (Days 1-4)** establish visibility across channels quickly, before the prospect has formed an opinion either way.
- **Touches 4-6 (Days 6-8)** shift from "here I am" to "here's something useful," building a reason to respond beyond politeness.
- **Touches 7-8 (Days 12-14)** shift to direct asks and, finally, the exit: by day 14, continuing to circle without a direct ask reads as either desperate or automated.

## Adapting the cadence
- **Enterprise / longer sales cycle:** stretch to 21 days, add 2-3 more touches, slow the pace between touches 1-4.
- **Transactional / high-velocity:** compress to 10 days, front-load touches 1-4 into the first week.
- **No phone number available:** replace call touches with a second LinkedIn message or a short video touch (see Video Prospecting Script Swipe File) instead of dropping to 2-channel.
