## How to use it

Fill in all six sections once to build your standard teaching pitch, rehearse it end-to-end using the worked example as a pacing guide, then adapt the Warm-Up and proof points per prospect while keeping the Reframe and Insight identical every time you deliver it.

## What's inside

- Warm-Up fill-in fields, template line, and worked example
- Reframe fill-in fields for naming the customer's current wrong belief
- Rational Drowning fill-in for 3-4 data/proof points
- Emotional Impact fill-in connecting data to personal stakes
- New Way fill-in for the conceptual shift introduced before the pitch
- Your Solution fill-in kept brief and proof-backed
- Full worked example strung together end-to-end
- Delivery notes on pacing, proof-point count, and tone

Fill in each section for your own commercial teaching pitch. Guidance and example follow each.

## 1. The Warm-Up
*Goal: establish credibility and relevance fast: you understand their world, not just your product.*

**Fill in:**
- Industry/role-specific observation: _______________________
- Credibility marker (data point, number of similar customers, research finding): _______________________

**Template line:**
> "We work with a lot of [role/industry] leaders, and one thing we keep seeing is [specific, credible observation], is that something you're seeing too?"

**Example:**
> "We work with a lot of VPs of Sales at 200-800 person B2B companies, and one thing we keep seeing across nearly 60% of them is that reps spend more time in the CRM logging what happened than actually prepping for what's next. Is that something you're seeing too?"

## 2. The Reframe
*Goal: challenge their current mental model: name the wrong belief they hold, gently but directly.*

**Fill in:**
- Common belief in their world: _______________________
- Why it's incomplete or wrong: _______________________

**Template line:**
> "Most people in your seat believe [common belief]. What we've found is that's actually [the incomplete/wrong part], and here's why that matters."

**Example:**
> "Most sales leaders believe the fix for inconsistent pipeline is more activity: more calls, more emails. What we've found is that's treating a symptom: the real driver of inconsistent pipeline is inconsistent qualification early in the cycle, not volume."

## 3. Rational Drowning
*Goal: overwhelm them briefly and deliberately with data that makes the old belief indefensible.*

**Fill in 3-4 data points:**
- Data point 1: _______________________
- Data point 2: _______________________
- Data point 3: _______________________
- Data point 4 (optional): _______________________

**Template line:**
> "Here's what the data actually shows: [stat 1]. On top of that, [stat 2]. And when you look at [stat 3], the pattern gets even clearer."

**Example:**
> "Here's what the data shows: deals that pass a real MEDDIC qualification close at 3x the rate of ones that don't. On top of that, reps who ask fewer than 3 Implication questions per discovery call see 40% longer sales cycles. And when you look at win-rate by whether an Economic Buyer was engaged before proposal stage, it more than doubles."

*Purpose: make the old way feel intellectually indefensible: factual, not yet emotional.*

## 4. Emotional Impact
*Goal: make it personal, connect the data to what it means for THEM specifically.*

**Fill in:**
- Who specifically feels this pain: _______________________
- What it costs them personally (career, stress, credibility): _______________________

**Template line:**
> "For you specifically, that means [personal/team-level consequence]: and that's the part that doesn't show up in a slide, but shows up every [timeframe] in [specific personal cost]."

**Example:**
> "For you specifically, that means every quarter you're forecasting deals you can't actually trust: and that's the part that doesn't show up in a board deck, but shows up every QBR when you have to explain a miss you didn't see coming."

## 5. The New Way
*Goal: introduce a new approach conceptually, before mentioning your product.*

**Fill in:**
- The new mental model/approach: _______________________
- Why it resolves the tension you've created: _______________________

**Template line:**
> "The organizations getting ahead of this aren't doing [old approach] harder: they're [new approach], which means [core benefit]."

**Example:**
> "The sales orgs getting ahead of this aren't pushing more activity: they're qualifying earlier and harder, using a consistent framework every rep applies the same way, which means deals only enter forecast once they can survive scrutiny."

## 6. Your Solution
*Goal: NOW introduce your product as the vehicle for the new way: kept brief, since the teaching did the selling.*

**Fill in:**
- Your solution, described as the enabler of the New Way (not a feature list): _______________________
- One proof point specific to their situation: _______________________

**Template line:**
> "That's exactly what [Your Solution] is built to do: [core mechanism], which is why [proof point relevant to them]."

**Example:**
> "That's exactly what [Product] is built to do: it enforces MEDDIC qualification and surfaces Implication/Need-Payoff coaching in real time during discovery, which is why teams using it see forecast accuracy improve within the first full quarter."

## Full worked example (all 6 sections back to back)

> "We work with a lot of VPs of Sales at 200-800 person B2B companies, and one thing we keep seeing across nearly 60% of them is that reps spend more time logging what happened in the CRM than prepping for what's next.
>
> Most sales leaders believe the fix for inconsistent pipeline is more activity. What we've found is that's treating a symptom, the real driver is inconsistent qualification early in the cycle.
>
> Here's what the data shows: deals that pass real MEDDIC qualification close at 3x the rate. Reps asking fewer than 3 Implication questions per call see 40% longer cycles. And win rate more than doubles when an Economic Buyer is engaged before proposal stage.
>
> For you specifically, that means every quarter you're forecasting deals you can't fully trust, and that shows up every QBR when you explain a miss you didn't see coming.
>
> The orgs getting ahead of this aren't pushing more activity: they're qualifying earlier and harder, with every rep applying the same framework, so only deals that can survive scrutiny make the forecast.
>
> That's exactly what [Product] does: it enforces that qualification and coaches the hardest questions in real time, which is why teams using it see forecast accuracy improve within a single quarter."

## Delivery notes
- Keep Warm-Up under 20 seconds: it's a bridge, not the pitch
- The Reframe must name a belief the customer actually holds: generic reframes fall flat
- Rational Drowning works best with 3-4 data points, not one; one stat is an anecdote, three is a pattern
- Emotional Impact should land as an observation, never a guilt trip
- Your Solution section should be the shortest of the six: if the teaching worked, the product feels obvious, not sold
